The water was really choppy, and my body felt like lead trying to swim. I meet two new swim pals, K and E.&nbsp; They mostly soaked. E is a soaker. K is acclimating and sort of new to this cold water thing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I was a mess in the water. The wind made the water all murky, so I couldn&#8217;t see the bottom of the lake. I also couldn&#8217;t swim very well. So much effort. I alternated between treading water and trying to swim a few feet.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Never made it out to the deep deep, staying relatively close to the cement dock. Then I had to come in. K and E got out, and I didn&#8217;t want to make them wait in the cold.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I swam in, then took my photos and vid (usually do that at the start). More to come. I need to eat.
